Start with the smallest needle size (0.2-0.3mm) if you are new to rolling — this is gentle enough for regular use and helps your serums and treatments absorb better. Cleanse your skin first, then roll slowly in one direction at a time (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) across each area, 4-5 passes without pressing hard. Deeper needle sizes (1.0mm and above) increase sensitivity and downtime, so use them less often — every 1-2 weeks at most — and only on clean, calm skin, never over active breakouts or irritation. Clean the roller with rubbing alcohol before and after each use, and replace it every few months.
